THE WA Football Commission has congratulated the Roos for paving the way for a bright future of junior football in our local community.
In an article in WA Football News, the WAFC commends committee members present and past for the growth of the club and, most recently, the effort involved in moving the club from Inglewood Oval to Hamer Park.
Since 2017, the club's committee has been working towards the move to Hamer Park, starting with fund-raising in 2018 and ending in 2021 with the demolition of its headquarters.
Despite operating out of makeshift sea containers for their final season at Inglewood Oval, the Roos still managed to provide a fun and successful season for its 481 players in Auskick and 17 teams.
On Sunday, February 27, Roos volunteers moved their possessions out of the sea container for the final time - into the new Hamer Park pavilion, ready for an exciting new era.
